Shelly Carmichael, Senior Manager Client Services

Shelly joined Development Advisors (DAI) in 2019 as a Senior Client Services Manager with a focus on partnering with manufacturer stakeholders. She works to help clients improve ROI and reduce costs associated with capital investments and expansion/relocations through negotiated incentives, strategic site selection and tax credits.

Shelly started in business development by partnering with national OEM manufacturers to create product marketing campaigns, as well as conduct product and technology leveraging training to sales teams across the southeast. This role laid the foundation for her to pursue and introduce business incentives and tax credits as a resource for clients to increase their profitability and lower costs associated with their growth.

Shelly comes to DAI from the ADP Tax Credit Services Division where she worked with manufacturers, distributors, fabricators, architects and engineering firms to help them secure business incentives related to targeted hiring, research and development, capital investments, expansions, job retention and new jobs. She was responsible for developing relationships and partnerships with trusted stakeholder CPA firms and PE Firms to provide business incentive training and assist with strategic planning resulting in the capture and maximization of business incentives across the U.S. Shelly conducted multiple speaking engagements and educational sessions with industry associations to provide training on business incentive opportunities uniquely related to their industries, growth trends, and locations.
